Job summary

Serco Group plc is hiring a Specialist Progression Coach for a field-based role covering Swansea and surrounding areas. You will support unemployed participants with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or mental health challenges to overcome barriers to employment and progress toward sustainable work.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload, conducting holistic assessments, and delivering one-to-one coaching, CV support, and job-search assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, motivating, or supporting individuals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to understand challenges faced by people with disabilities or health conditions when seeking employment.
• Strong organisation, prioritisation and independent working abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people grow and gain confidence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored coaching and support throughout their employment journey.
• Complete holistic needs assessments and develop personalised action plans reflecting goals and support needs.
• Identify barriers to employment and connect participants with health, wellbeing, training and support services.
• Deliver one-to-one employability coaching, including CV support, job searching and interview preparation.
• Build relationships with local employers to identify inclusive employment opportunities for participants.
• Promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes while ensuring services meet contract requirements and quality standards.
