Job description

Ready to take the lead on a brand-new automotive quality project and make it truly your own?

We are seeking a Production Team Leader to join our dedicated quality management team on-site at a major automotive partners warehouse-based operation. The successful candidate will head up a brand-new inspection containment project for one of our premium automotive clients.

Benefits
  • Up to £13.50 per hour
  • Weekend overtime available in peak times starting from 25%+
  • 28 days holiday – Inclusive of Bank Holidays

As this is a brand-new project, you’ll have the opportunity to establish it from the ground up and truly make it your own. The site itself is an older warehouse currently undergoing improvements to office and staff facilities. While it isn’t as polished as a high‑end OEM production line, it offers a more autonomous working environment, with a small team supporting you during peak periods. The workload is lower volume but offers strong potential for ownership and future progression.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00.

Responsibilities
  • Leading an inspection containment project
  • Coaching a team of quality professionals during peak periods
  • Ensuring all inspectors have the relevant tooling, material flow, PPE and understanding to work to the required Test Plan / WES.
  • Controlling all NOK parts found during the project, ensuring the packaging and stacking of parts are correct.
  • Working alongside the customer to identify and promptly resolve issues, with minimal or no effect to production.
  • Leading from the front by carrying out inspection duties
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership skills gained within a production, manufacturing, warehouse or engineering environment
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner
  • Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box
Nice to have (but not essential)
  • Previous experience using SAP
  • Knowledge of writing work instructions
