Qualifications

  • Experience in quarry operations or similar heavy industry is desirable.
  • You will be expected to hold the appointment under Section 8 (1) (d) of the Quarries Regulations 1999.
  • Completion of appropriate induction and specialised training for new employees.

Aggregates Production Supervisor - Masters Quarry

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Aggregates Production Supervisor to join our team at Masters Quarry. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site.

Purpose of the Role

To maintain high standards of Health & Safety, oversee production activities, and manage contractors on site while supporting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with statutory legislation and company Health, Safety & Environment Management Systems.
  • Lead by example in promoting safe working practices and use of protective equipment.
  • Oversee contractor activities, including inspections and adherence to method statements.
  • Support quality assurance processes to deliver materials that meet customer specifications.
  • Assist with stock returns, production analysis, and maintenance records to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain strong communication with staff, customers, and stakeholders to uphold service standards.
  • Assist in purchasing spares, materials and services as required for effective running of the operation at the most cost-effective price possible.
  • Assist the Site Manager in the completion of Period End Profit Estimations by the compilation of stock returns, production & breakdown analysis, written summary, expenditure database. Provision of above information to be in electronic form as appropriate.
  • Compile accurate maintenance records and ensure that servicing and repairs are carried out as programmed by the Site Manager.
  • Maintain good working relationships and communication between the management and employees and notify the Site Manager if problems are developing.
  • Discuss training requirements for staff under your control and ensure that all new employees have received induction training and appropriate specialised training where relevant.
