We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a production team, ensure Health & Safety compliance, and meet production targets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain hourly work output paperwork ensuring product is supplied for distribution on time and in full adherence to production plans.
- Ensure basic output figures are maintained.
- Conduct basic housekeeping responsibilities.
- Monitor Craftspeople to ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policy.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the team.
- Identify and implement changes to improve flow and productivity; inspire and lead the team in operational improvement.
- Provide resource support for technical issues in your line.
- Carry out WIP counts weekly.
- Include biannual stock takes.
- Ensure quality targets are met in collaboration with the Quality team, aiming for consistency, reduced scrap, and fewer repairs.
- Work with the Production & Operations Manager to resolve staffing needs and upskill the team; coordinate with the Industrialisation team for training as required.
- Liaise with the Production & Operations Manager regarding recruitment for your line and carry out necessary recruitment.
- Promote high quality standards at all times within the line.
- Provide a point of contact for Craftsperson queries and make performance-related recommendations to the Production Operations Manager.

- Develop, challenge, and grow direct reports through effective management and leadership.
- Hold daily morning line meetings to communicate important messages.
- Log absence and behavioural issues using an absence tracker and Dayforce; seek HR guidance when necessary.
- Handle confidential employee information (absence data).
- Chair confidential meetings for Craftspeople (investigations, disciplinary conversations).
- Conduct annual performance reviews; recognise talent and set future objectives.
- Act as an internal coach and mentor; support training and development (e.g., apprentices).
- Manage performance through regular coaching and quality face-to-face interactions.
