Qualifications

About the role

Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for three core areas of the factory: ensuring production schedules are met efficiently, maintaining safety and quality standards, and driving a positive, safe, high-performing workplace culture. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and coordinate daily workflow across assembly, machine operations and fabrication teams.
  • Ensure production targets and quality standards are met in line with production schedules.
  • Lead, train, and support team members while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Monitor efficiency, equipment utilisation, and material flow to minimise downtime.
  • Support process improvements through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain effective communication with management.
About you

You will share a passion for our purpose and align with our core values: better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. You will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in a factory or production team leader/supervisor role (steel manufacturing highly regarded).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, WHS practices and quality control.
  • Effective problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making under time constraints.
  • Strong communication, people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering or related field is not essential, but highly desirable.
