Overview

Job title: Production Planning and Control Team Leader

Location: Isle of Wight - Cowes - Onsite only

Salary: Up to £43,500 (dependent on skills and experience)

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring the Health, Safety and Environmental compliance of all employees, sub-contractors, and product safety within your relevant business area in accordance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Responsible for compliance with all relevant internal, legislative, regulatory, and contractual requirements for relevant Businesses and Disciplines
  • Build, maintain and facilitate a culture of collaborative working within relevant Businesses and Disciplines including customers, suppliers, partners and stakeholders
  • Engage and communicate effectively and in a timely manner with customers and stakeholders both internal and external to the business
  • Responsible for operating production Planning & Control and other related procedures defined in the Quality Management System
  • Support the generation and communication of key performance indicators, offering insight into performance drivers and improvement actions
Your skills and experiences
  • Proven background in Production Planning and Control, with demonstrable experience leading and managing teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) membership at Member (MILT) level is desirable
  • Relevant technical qualification (ONC/HNC level or equivalent) or substantial industry experience in a comparable role is preferred
  • Strong proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems, with the capability to extract, interpret, and analyse data to support effective planning and operational decision-making
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing environments with the ability to drive operational excellence and efficiency

The Production Planning and Control team

Join our dynamic Planning team within Maritime and Land Defence Solutions, where you'll play a key role in shaping the long-term planning strategy across our Products business. As the Production Planning and Control Team Leader, you will drive integrated demand planning and scenario modelling to support business growth and operational success.

You'll be the single point of truth for our medium- and long-term planning requirements, collaborating closely with Project and Production Managers, as well as senior internal stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to make a real impact in a high-performing, supportive environment.

Our workplace in Cowes is an easily accessible commute from Southampton with a regular foot passenger ferry and BAE shuttle service from the ferry terminal to site.
