Production Planner

£20.52 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35) | 6 Month Contract | Stafford (Full-time on site)

Ceto Talent is recruiting a Production Planner for a major defence organisation to plan and deliver achievable production plans meeting customer requirements and contractual obligations.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in planning within an industrial/manufacturing background
• Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / MRP software systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes
• Understanding of BOMs and Routing within a planning system
• Understanding of technical, equipment, and spares issues associated with production
• BPSS security clearance (or ability to obtain)

Key Responsibilities

• Attend Master Production Schedule meetings to formulate achievable production plans
• Work with production Team Leaders to revise plans to meet customer needs
• Continually review production plans and report when plans cannot be met
• Use ERP systems to make Availability to Promise (ATP), generate and manage production orders
• Create new task routings, forecast, re-plan and maintain orders within agreed timescales
• Liaise with commercial areas regarding delivery issues
• Contribute towards improving team standards and efficiency
