Rheinmetall Electronics UK (REUK) Ltd operates internationally, designing and manufacturing advanced electronics products and systems for the communications, defence, security and government services market.

We are excited to announce that we are building upon the commercial success achieved to date, and have an opportunity to join our rapidly expanding team as a Production Planner.

Working as part of the Supply Chain Team this role will be responsible for the planning of all work into Production to meet the detailed deliverables required for a defence sector manufacturing company.

The business is currently experiencing substantial business growth and this role will need to understand the strategic outlook as well as the immediate requirements.

Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Creating detailed production plans and schedules based on sales deliverables, program forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Releasing Work Orders to Production, in-line with schedules to meet deliverables and to keep Production 100% operational.
  • Monitor inventory levels & coordinate with the Purchasing team to ensure timely delivery of sub/assemblies and raw materials.
  • Analyse production issues and propose solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track production performance against schedules and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Collaborate with programs, Engineering and other departments to align production plans with overall business objectives.
Skills and Experience
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, as well as a good understanding of planning and MRP/ERP systems. SAP B1 desirable. Able to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in a production planning role or related field with a strong understanding of manufacturing & BOM structures.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels of the business.
  • Creative problem-solving.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • The ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

Full time 37.5 hrs per wk.

Salary dependant on experience / qualifications.
