Job description

The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a Production Operative, to work at our client's busy manufacturing and testing site, based in Romsey, Southampton.

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Working for a company that manufactures water testing equipment
• Working within the production team in the factory
• Assembling parts to help manufacture the testing equipment
• Operating the testing equipment to ensure it is working correctly
• Fault finding and repairing
• Quality control
• Assisting with all general warehouse duties

Due to the nature of the work, previous experience would be highly advantageous. However, if you do not have prior experience in a similar role, any experience, education or qualifications in chemistry and an interest to learn more would be ideal for the role.

This is to start in January 2026, following a successful interview with the Production Manager.

This is for a full-time, ongoing position, on a temp-to-perm basis. This means that the company will offer a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.

Working hours are 07:30 - 16:30, Monday - Friday.

Starting pay rate is £12.31 per hour.
