Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production & Logistics Planner to join our food manufacturing team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The Production & Logistics Planner is responsible producing the daily production plans, the daily plan for all outgoing finished product, and all associated paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Producing all daily production plans accurately and on time - volumes, run rates, WIP etc - and provided to Production team
- Producing daily out loading logistics accurately and on time - customer depot orders, pick sheets, ASNs and load manifests, ad distribute to Dispatch.
- Booking of vehicles though online portals and producing loads plans and delivery notes.
- Ensuring any shortages are communicated to the wider business appropriately
- Ensure maximum utilisation of fruit within Production
- Send weekly and daily staff requests to agencies as required
- Authorisation of transport invoices
- Keeping planning errors to a minimum
- Plan and prioritise daily operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain, collate and communicate output information (service level, staff numbers, waste, overpacks, WIP adherence etc.)
- Liaising with 3rd party haulage companies regarding collection times and traffic issues to ensure 100% service level is achieved.
- Completion of Customer Issue Log
- Training Planning and Logistics Administrators to conduct all activities to the required standard.
- Compiling weekly data to support Sales Admin investigations of overs/shorts etc.
- Maintaining records and archives to support audits.
- Attending daily Production meetings - shift handover, 9am, Midday huddle
- Completion of dispatched pallet and dolly spreadsheets
- All the reasonable administration tasks associated with production, planning and logistics including rotas, T&A system, agency trackers, etc

Details
Days and Hours of work: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (05:30am - 17:30pm or 07:30am - 19:30pm)
Salary: £31,000 per annum (paid monthly)
Location: PrepWorld, Northfleet, DA11 8HH.
