Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in product management, Agile, Scrum, or related software development roles.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience working across multiple Agile teams.
  • Basic understanding of technology stacks for effective communication with developers.
  • Awareness of user-friendly design principles supported by user feedback.

Overview

This is a high‑impact leadership role at the heart of Anglian Water’s data and digital transformation. As Product Manager for Data & Platforms, you will bridge bold product vision with real‑world delivery, working closely with the Head of Product to shape how data and platform products enable the entire organisation. You’ll turn strategy into action by setting clear product guardrails, shaping roadmaps, and empowering Product Owners and Technical Product Owners to deliver at pace and at scale. By bringing alignment, focus and energy to the product community, you’ll ensure teams are motivated, connected and driving meaningful outcomes across engineering, architecture and enterprise digital teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and coaching across Product Owners (POs) and Technical Product Owners (TPOs), building a strong product management capability.
  • Define product management guardrails, oversee performance metrics, and foster continuous learning and capability improvement across the product community.
  • Own organisational product portfolio management and planning, ensuring alignment across data and platform products, and translating overarching product strategy into actionable roadmaps.
  • Manage budgets, ROI, total cost of ownership and risk, ensuring products deliver tangible value at scale.
  • Engage senior stakeholders, conduct market insight and product research, gather feedback, track trends and enable colleagues to use corporate data effectively.
  • Champion a culture of health, safety, wellbeing, inclusion and continuous improvement, inspiring trust, collaboration and high performance across the team.
Qualifications
  • Educational background: Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience in a relevant role.
  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO1 / PSPO2) or equivalent. Scrum at Scale is also beneficial.
  • Scaled Agile experience: Proven track record of working across multiple Agile teams.
  • Relevant experience in product management, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, business analysis or a related software development role.
  • Basic understanding of the technology stack to communicate effectively with developers and understand technical constraints.
  • Awareness of UX principles and the value of intuitive, user‑friendly designs, backed by user research and feedback mechanisms.
