The Role

//As a Product Designer at Masabi, you'll create thoughtful, accessible, user-centered experiences that make public transport simpler and more enjoyable for millions of riders around the world.

You’ll be involved in the full design process, from discovery and concept development to testing and delivering polished, production-ready designs. You’ll also help shape the look and feel of the Justride platform while contributing to the ongoing growth of our design systems and design culture.

The Team

//Our Design Team is integral to product development at Masabi, shaping how people access and experience public transport globally.

We're a collaborative, supportive team that works closely with engineers and product managers to bring ideas to life in an agile environment. Whether we're designing mobile apps or streamlining fare validation at gates, we focus on solutions that are clear, intuitive, and built for real-world accessibility.

With backing from our CPO and CTO, we're focusing this year on remote usability testing, improving user documentation, and growing our cross-product Design System.

//This role is available remotely or in a hybrid model from within the UK. We support flexible working and trust you to find a balance that works for you.

Responsibilities
  • Design inclusive, accessible interfaces across the Justride platform, including UI, iconography, and visual elements
  • Lead and contribute to a strong UX process, from research and concepting to delivery
  • Run user testing and research to validate ideas and uncover insightsCollaborate with developers and product managers across multiple teams to ensure high-quality, production-ready implementation
  • Maintain and evolve Masabi's Design System, brand assets, and style guides
  • Bring new perspectives, share learnings, and help shape how we design together
About You
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain your thinking with clarity and empathy
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong examples of experience design and interface design in products you have delivered to market
  • Confidence with tools like Figma, Miro or similar, and a willingness to learn new ones
  • Experience running workshops, gathering insights and making evidence-based design decisions
  • A deep understanding of inclusive and accessible interface design and awareness of the latest industry trends and UI patterns
  • Curious, proactive, and engaged in continuous improvement of both product and process
  • Collaborative by nature; thrives in cross-functional teams and enjoys sharing ideas and learning with others
