Job Overview

Contechs is seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Procurement Officer to join our team and drive our procurement strategies forward. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management processes to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will help optimize procurement operations, manage supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsible for Indirect Operations buying (e.g., Office Supplies, Computers, Travel, Maintenance, Machine Parts, etc.).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals, focusing on cost efficiency and quality.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier selection.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues within supply chain operations and develop corrective action plans.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms while ensuring compliance with regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulations when applicable.
  • Oversee supplier management activities, including performance evaluation, relationship building, and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor pricing trends and conduct category management to optimise sourcing strategies across different product categories.
  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to quality management standards and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier communications for audit purposes.
