Job summary

A consulting firm in the UK is seeking a Procurement Manager for a hybrid role. You will determine the commercial strategy for project requirements and draft the necessary plans, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience managing the entire procurement process and understanding public sector regulations. Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is preferred. This role offers an opportunity for an initial 3-month assignment with the potential for extension.

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our defence client, who is seeking a Procurement Manager for an initial 3-month assignment with the option to extend.

Location : Hybrid working - Flintshire

About the Role

You will be responsible for determining the appropriate commercial strategy for project requirements. Drafting the strategy plans, commercial management plans and facilitating / delivering it or making recommendations for action to Senior Leadership, ensuring all contracts adhere to procurement regulations and Government policy.

Skills and Experience
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process from pre sourcing to contract management.
  • Experience working within the public sector with public sector regulations (e.g. PCR 2015, UCR 2016, PA 2023)
  • Experience in stakeholder and supplier engagement and building positive working relationships.
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems (E.g. SAP or Oracle)
  • MCIPS / CIPS (Desirable)
