We’re looking for a Procurement Category Manager to join our team and help us deliver measurable commercial value and reduce risk across priority spend categories. Acting as a trusted business partner, you’ll develop and execute category strategies that optimise cost, improve supplier performance, and align with our organisational objectives.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain category strategies that deliver cost savings, service improvements, and innovation.
  • Lead sourcing and negotiation activities for high-value contracts.
  • Identify and apply value levers such as demand management and supplier collaboration.
  • Drive supplier performance improvement through structured SRM and KPI frameworks.
  • Partner with stakeholders to align category plans with business needs and strategic goals.
  • Embed sustainability and risk management into category strategies.
  • Manage a pipeline of sourcing initiatives and oversee contract lifecycle management.
  • Conduct benchmarking and market testing to ensure competitive pricing and service levels.
  • Prepare and present category performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Champion supplier-led innovation and educate stakeholders on procurement best practice.
Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Broad category management experience across multiple spend areas, ideally Professional Services.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable value and cost optimisation.
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills, including risk mitigation.
  • Ability to analyse complex data sets and market intelligence to inform decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with supplier performance frameworks, SRM, and sustainability objectives.
  • Proficiency with procurement systems and analytics tools.
