Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in London is seeking an experienced Buyer for an initial 12-month PAYE contract to coordinate activities throughout the procurement cycle. The role involves negotiating terms, evaluating bids, and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures. Candidates should have strong negotiation skills and experience in the Oil & Gas industry or engineering services. This position offers a hybrid work model with 8 days working from home each month.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, Engineering services, or General Services is preferred.
• Contracts and purchasing experience, including proven negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting contract evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Implement all procurement procedures and policies.
• Perform due diligence on contractors.
• Liaise with Requesting Units to develop contractual strategies.
• Commercially evaluate bids and coordinate technical evaluations.
• Assist in negotiating terms and conditions.
• Liaise with external contractors on market conditions.
