Overview

Exciting opportunity for procurement assistant to join a fast paced and dynamic team at the Outpatient Pharmacy, Warwick Hospital. The role involves sourcing and procuring necessary medications to meet patient needs while optimising costs and supply chain management. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and high‑quality customer experience to achieve a safe, effective and caring service for patients and other service users.

Responsibilities
  • Release orders, receive and check off stock in day‑to‑day work in the pharmacy.
  • Work with the procurement lead to chase missing orders, complete to‑follows and monitor stock shortages.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and on time; communicate issues as appropriate and attend meetings as required.
  • Offer suggestions to improve processes by utilising best practices.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships and good communications with patients and Trust employees; contribute to teamwork ethic.
  • Ensure confidentiality of commercial and clinical information; comply with GDPR and Freedom of Information legislation.
  • Manage personal training and development; perform other relevant duties at the request of the line manager.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety, Equal Opportunities and all other relevant legislation.
  • Provide liaison service between users and suppliers to fulfil customer need.
  • Effectively communicate and resolve queries, discrepancies and out‑of‑stock medicines.
  • Help train new members of the pharmacy team in stock management processes and procedures.
