The role:
As a Process Safety Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Lead and quality-check process hazard and technical risk assessments (e.g. HAZOP, LoPA, Bowties, Safety Critical Task Analysis, Area Classification), and support design reviews and capital projects with engineering input.
  • Specify safety critical equipment, conduct root cause analysis for process safety events, and monitor/report process safety KPIs to drive improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct Process Risk Management Audits of rig operators and technical staff to ensure asset safety and compliance.
  • Coach, train, and mentor others in process safety, promoting a strong process safety culture across the site.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience, with Chartered Engineer status.
  • Proven experience in Process Safety, including leading HAZOP, LoPA, Bowties, Safety Critical Task Analysis, and Area Classification.
  • Hands-on experience with Process Safety at the pilot scale, and a strong focus on customer needs while meeting project and corporate goals.
  • Effective team player with a track record of working within multi-disciplinary teams.
