In 1728 Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on were still going against the grain making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House in Debenham.

Your Purpose

You will be part of the team who make our amazing Cyders undertaking fermentation make up and monitoring ingredient mixing filtration CIP product blending for bottling and bulk tanker dispatch.

All roles will include operating process plant via automated computer systems ensuring correct records are up to date on computer systems (SAP) and / or spreadsheets and performing laboratory testing.

Shift Pattern : continental shift pattern averaging 42 hours a week on a rotating 12-hour shift basis to include 2 days 2 nights followed by 4 rest periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of preparing fermenting and storing cyder for use in draught bottling and vinegar production.
• Clean and sterilise plant equipment tanks and pipework before and after use.
• Monitor fermentation performance to ensure quality and consistency.
• Prepare cyder for filtration and packaging including blending products and filling bulk containers to meet customer orders.
• Package bulk cyder into keg products as required.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records throughout all processes.

About You

• Comfortable working to set processes and procedures
• Able to perform well under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong commitment to getting things right first time
• Experienced in computer data entry (minimum requirement)
• Good communication skills
• Proficient in reading and written English.
