Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Process Engineer for a 3 to 6 month contract in Staffordshire, with a daily rate of £300 to £350. The role requires experience in the aerospace or heavy plant sectors and involves mapping processes, improving production methods, and applying Lean/Six Sigma tools. Qualifications

• Experience in powder metallurgy, pressing, sintering, ceramics, or similar.
• Strong capability in producing SOPs, CP/FMEA, and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9001/AS9100.

Responsibilities

• Map and document processes, creating SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.
• Support trials and validation activities.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma tools to improve process control.
• Work with Operations and Quality to ensure compliance.
• Guide operators in adopting new processes.
