Job summary

A health services organization is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Manager to lead fire safety management across all sites. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with fire safety legislation, developing training programs, and promoting a proactive safety culture. This role is essential for the safety of patients, staff, and visitors while reducing risk through effective fire prevention strategies.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing fire safety in NHS or large complex environments.
• Proven experience conducting and reviewing fire risk assessments.
• Experience developing and implementing fire safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the organisations Fire Safety Strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate and report on the Fire Safety Audit and Inspection Programme.
• Provide expert advice on fire safety aspects of design, construction, and maintenance projects.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, HTM 05, and NHS guidance

Strong analytical, reporting, and investigation skills

Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills

Education

NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate or equivalent

Recognised qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH General / NCRQ / Level 6 Diploma)
