This is an outstanding opportunity to take the lead at a highly respected, Legal 500 firm as Head of their private client department. Working closely with the Managing Partner, you’ll play a key role in shaping the department’s success with guiding strategy, driving performance and supporting a talented team. You’ll oversee a diverse and rewarding caseload including wills, probate, estate administration and Court of Protection matters. As a hands‑on leader, you’ll inspire, mentor and develop your team by fostering technical excellence and professional growth. Your commitment to the highest standards of client care, compliance and service delivery will ensure the department continues to thrive and uphold the firm’s outstanding reputation.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years’ PQE in private client law and a proven track record of leadership within a legal team. You will bring substantial experience in supervision, mentoring and team development, coupled with comprehensive expertise across wills, probate, estates, trusts and Court of Protection matters. You will demonstrate strong strategic thinking and the ability to deliver high quality, precise work under pressure while maintaining clarity, composure and effective communication. A thorough up‑to‑date understanding of key regulatory and compliance frameworks including AML and GDPR is essential.
