Paralegal – Wills and Probate

Leading Legal 500 firm | Multi-branch practice

A leading Legal 500, multi-branch firm with an excellent reputation is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join its Wills and Probate team, based in the Wanstead office. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in Private Client work who is looking to grow and develop within a supportive, well-regarded practice.

The team advises clients on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate matters, and the administration of estates, providing a high-quality and compassionate service.

The role

This is a fast-paced and varied position supporting fee earners across the department. You will work closely with senior team members and receive full training and supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney
  • Preparing Probate applications
  • Conducting legal research
  • Attending clients in the office and on external visits where required
  • Registering deaths when needed
  • Attending vacant properties to allow access for third parties
  • Handling new enquiries
  • Keeping up to date with relevant legal developments and completing ongoing training
  • Providing general administrative support across the team
About you

You will have previous private client experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and the ability to empathise with clients of all ages and backgrounds. You will be proactive, organised, and able to manage competing tasks to meet time recording and billing targets. Good IT skills are essential.
