Overview

SLR’s Exeter transport planning team advises clients across residential, commercial, retail and energy sectors on projects ranging from new settlements to small scale landowner developments. We work across the private and public sectors with a focus on the southwest peninsula and south coast of England, and partner with international colleagues on projects in the USA and Australia. This role offers an experienced Transport Planning professional the chance to join at senior grade to assist with project delivery and client and team management activities within the Exeter office.

What you will do
  • Use professional judgement and personal initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions
  • Deliver Vision Led Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans
  • Assist with wider transport planning work including bespoke EV advisory services
  • Manage client relationships to secure work and negotiate fee proposals
  • Plan and carry out marketing activities
  • Ensure the profitability of designated projects
  • Continuously update personal knowledge of relevant technical, legal and policy changes
  • Develop colleagues within the project team
  • Provide guidance on quality matters and technical issues

  • Relevant degree (or higher) level qualification and membership of a relevant professional body (MCIHT or similar)

  • Strong software modelling capabilities on relevant software packages, e.g. ARCADY / PICADY / LINSIG
