Job description

Principal Procurement Consultant - Major Infrastructure

London | £70k-£75k + Car Allowance

A leading consultancy delivering some of the UK's most complex and high-profile programmes is seeking a Principal Procurement Consultant to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep procurement expertise and strong exposure to NEC contracts who wants to operate at a senior, strategic level across major capital projects.

Ideal candidates will come from construction, transport or utilities environments, with hands‑on experience managing high-value procurement activity, shaping commercial strategies and guiding stakeholders through complex sourcing, contracting and delivery challenges. NEC experience is highly desirable, as many programmes rely on it heavily, and you'll play a key role in advising clients on its practical application. Public sector or PA23 background is beneficial, and consultancy experience is a bonus, but not essential.

As a Principal Consultant, you'll lead significant workstreams, mentor junior team members and act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders. You'll gain exposure to multi‑billion‑pound programmes and be empowered to influence outcomes, drive best practice and lead high‑impact procurement transformation.

If you're looking to elevate your career, expand your procurement and NEC expertise, and work at the forefront of the UK's biggest infrastructure programmes, this is a standout role with clear progression opportunities.
