Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Principal C&I Engineer for an initial 12-month contract based in Barrow-in-Furness. This position involves developing and managing system requirements, producing essential documentation, and ensuring compliance with safety and contractual standards. The role allows for remote work 1-2 days per month, with a competitive hourly rate of £58.58.

Qualifications

• Proficient in instrumentation and control system theory, particularly PID control.
• Experience in electrical circuits design and relevant safety standards.
• Understanding of Safety Integrity Levels and compliance with BS EN standards.

Principal C&I Engineer

Initial 12 Month Contract

1-2 days per month on site (remainder working from home)

Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

£58.58 Per Hour (Inside IR35)

The Role

• Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems, platform or programme
• Understand the contractual and performance requirements for various systems, and support the definition and associated acceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration, installation and commissioning activities
• Produce documentation required to support the design review process, including: diagrams; technical specifications; supporting calculations; design evidence and justifications
• Ensure design proving evidence is comprehensive, captured within the requirements management tools and has been endorsed by the appropriate level of authority
• Ensure compliance against contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual and local business processes, standards, procedures and documentation
