Job description
Responsibilities
  • To provide Clinical Psychology input to children/young people and families/carers within the All Age Learning Disability Service (LDS), including enhanced specialist psychological assessment and therapy, working within service policies, procedures and protocols.
  • To offer advice and consultation on children and young people's psychological care to families, carers, colleagues and other professionals, developing formal consultancy systems within the nominated team(s) under guidance of the Consultant/Professional Lead, working autonomously within professional guidelines and overall service policies and procedures.
  • To work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for systematic governance of psychological practice within the designated area of responsibility.
  • To utilise skills for research and audit, policy and service development, implementing policy changes within LDS in agreement with the relevant lead/manager.
