Principal Air Quality Consultant – Industrial & Odour Focus

Location: Manchester (Head Office) or Bristol

An established and respected Air Quality Consultancy with two offices in the UK is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant with significant experience in industrial air quality and odour-related work. The company is known for delivering expert solutions across a wide range of air quality challenges and fosters a supportive, collaborative, and flexible working environment. As a small, agile team, the business promotes professional development, open communication, and offers staff the opportunity to influence positive changes within the organisation.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in delivering compliance and odour consultancy across a variety of industrial projects. This includes full project ownership, from technical delivery to client interaction. The role will be primarily based at the Manchester Head Office, with a requirement for regular office presence to support junior team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative atmosphere. Consideration may also be given to candidates located in or near Bristol.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in industrial air quality and odour consultancy
  • Strong technical expertise in compliance, emissions, and odour assessments
  • Proven ability to independently manage projects from start to finish
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior consultants
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • Professional membership or chartership with a relevant body (desirable)
