Job summary

A teaching recruitment agency is seeking a Primary School Teacher for a full-time role in Newcastle. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, managing classroom behavior, and building positive relationships with pupils and teaching staff. The ideal candidate will hold QTS and have experience in a UK primary school. The position is temporary until July 2026, starting January 2026, offering competitive daily pay between £130-200.

Qualifications

• An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service, can process new ones).
• Experience teaching Reception Class is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.

About the Role

• The role will involve planning and teaching engaging and informative lessons that inspire pupils and allows all pupils to make progress regardless of their ability levels.
• Stretching and challenging the learning and progress all pupils
• Building positive relationships with pupils and Teaching Assistants to create excellent learning environments.
• Managing challenging behaviour in a positive, proactive and consistent manner
• Differentiating lessons appropriately to suit the needs and earning styles of all pupils.
• Using varied methods of assessment to assess pupil progress
• Displaying high levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with children.
• Working effectively with Teaching Assistants to ensure children receive the best possible educational experience

Pay, Hours and Contract

• Pay - Between £130-200 per day
• Hours - 08.30-16.00
• Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2026. Temporary Contract.
• Start Date - January 2026
• Location - Newcastle

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements

• An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
• QTS and Primary School Teaching experience within the UK.
• Previous experience of Teaching Reception Class (desirable)
• Experience of short, medium and long-term planning
• Experience of utilising a range of methods to assess pupil progress
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Strong relationship-building skills with an ability to build rapport
• Experience of Teaching within the UK
• Strong organisation and communication skills
