Overview

Location: Partington, Trafford (M31). Role Type: Full-time or part-time (school hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm). Setting: Mainstream Primary School with a strong SEN focus. Year Groups: Year 5 & Year 6. Start Date: Flexible – Autumn term or sooner. Pay: Dependent on MPS/UPS – based on experience and scale.

About the role

Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking to make more impact — not more worksheets? The school is known for its inclusive, SEN-aware approach, particularly in upper Key Stage 2. You’ll deliver high-quality lessons while responding to the emotional and behavioural needs of pupils. You’ll be part of a team supporting pupils in Year 5 and Year 6, many of whom have additional needs — including ADHD, Autism, SEMH and behavioural challenges. Working closely with the SENCo and TAs, you’ll help shape a learning environment where every child has the tools — and the relationships — they need to thrive.

Candidate requirements
  • Is a qualified Primary Teacher (QTS)

  • Brings calm, consistent behaviour management and emotional awareness into the classroom
  • Values teamwork with the SENCo, TAs and pastoral staff
  • Is open to professional growth and attending CPD sessions after school to strengthen practice
