Overview

Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant

Do you have a degree and want to build classroom experience in a supportive primary school before beginning teacher training? Are you ready to support pupils across KS2 with targeted academic interventions and one-to-one support?

Role

As a Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers across Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in core subjects such as English, maths, and reading. You'll lead small intervention groups, provide one-to-one support for those who need extra help, and assist with lesson delivery and resource preparation. Your support will help boost confidence and raise attainment in the classroom.

Requirements
  • Degree - A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication - Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS - Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children - A genuine interest in supporting pupils and pursuing a future in teaching.
  • Experience working with children - Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
