A leading NHS Trust in London seeks midwives for its preceptorship programme, offering hands-on experience across various maternity wards. Participants will engage in high-quality, evidence-based care for women and babies while supporting their professional development. The role includes performing midwifery procedures and working alongside a multidisciplinary team. Opportunities for further training will be provided after the programme. The closing date for applications is January 4, 2026, with interviews scheduled shortly after.
Here is an exciting opportunity to join the preceptorship programme at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. We offer an opportunity to consolidate your skills as a midwife within the maternity unit rotating through several hospital wards.
Our preceptorship programme has achieved the Capital Midwife quality mark and includes a comprehensive package alongside mandatory training: simulation skills, IV cannulation, suturing, bereavement, screening study days with orientation and supernumerary in each new area.
Training opportunities will continue after this preceptorship year and we will encourage you to keep training as you develop your career with us.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will be required to pass the practical element before progressing to interview on the same day. The interview is scheduled for 19th January 2026. Shortlisted applicants will be notified of progress.
