Role: Practice Nurse

Town: Brighton / Burgess Hill - Client Site

Full time: 22.5 hours per week

Shift times: 3 days per week

Permanent: Salaried Role

Salary: £38,000 to £45,840 FTE

Overview

We’re looking for a Practice Nurse to join our supportive Primary Care Team based on a client site across Brighton and Burgess Hill. Under the leadership of the Senior Practice Nurse and Deputy Nurse Manager, you'll work on this prestigious client site and be given the time you need to care. This is a fabulous opportunity to take your experience in a different direction.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage your own clinical caseload, addressing patients’ needs in a primary care setting, primarily clients’ employees.
  2. Plan and organise your workload daily.
  3. Collaborate with GPs, nursing colleagues, and the healthcare team, referring to GPs when necessary.
  4. Provide treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, with appropriate referrals.
  5. Develop care plans and treat specific conditions following professional protocols (PGDs), e.g., travel health, family planning.
  6. Assist with audits, staff training, and development.
  7. Support the Deputy Nursing Manager with IPC compliance across services and sites.
  8. Participate in infection control efforts, supporting patients and colleagues.
Requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of clinical governance and safeguarding.
  • RGN registration with the NMC.
  • Completion of STIP course or equivalent.
