A children's hospice organization in Birmingham is seeking a PR and Communications Assistant. This hands-on role offers practical experience in media relations, storytelling, and fundraising. Ideal candidates will have strong copywriting skills and support internal and external communications. The position offers a salary of £28,000 to £30,000 per annum, with a hybrid work model.
Are you a talented writer with a passion for storytelling and making a real difference? Acorns Children’s Hospice is looking for a PR and Communications Assistant to join our Communications team. This is a hands-on role offering a rare opportunity to gain practical experience supporting media relations, storytelling, internal and external communications, fundraising and campaign activity.
At Acorns Children’s Hospice we offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. We are there wherever and whenever they need us, in the hospice, community and at home. Our services include short breaks for children at our hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support.
This role provides exposure to various aspects of communications, giving you the chance to develop your skills while helping to positively impact children with short lives and make Acorns work visible, understood and supported across the community.
Interviews are scheduled to be held on 16 and 17 October
You need to be eligible to work in the UK to be considered for this role. We are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and therefore any successful candidate will be asked to provide two satisfactory references.
