Porter (Band 2) - 6 month fixed term

HMP BERWYN, WREXHAM, NORTH WALES - 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

We are looking for a porter to support the Health and Wellbeing team. You will have a good standard of education and portering experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Overview

Porters support the healthcare team by providing a safe and efficient portering service within the Offender Healthcare Service. You will work as a member of the Portering Team, transferring service users, equipment and supplies between locations in accordance with security measures, protocols and procedures, and providing support to other team members as required.

Main duties
  • Work as a member of the Portering Team, providing a comprehensive, safe and efficient Portering Service within the Offender Healthcare Service.
  • Transfer service users, equipment and supplies between various locations in accordance with security measures, protocols and procedures.
  • Provide support to other team members as required.

Portering experience is essential, as is a willingness to undertake relevant training. We are looking for someone with a proactive can-do approach who can be adaptable to changing service demands.
