A law enforcement agency is seeking Police Staff Investigating Officers for a new team focused on current and historic child abuse investigations. Responsibilities include conducting enquiries, managing case files, and working with partners to support victims. Candidates must be PIP 2 qualified, possess excellent communication skills, and hold a current UK driving license. This role offers a fixed term contract for 12 months based at West Bromwich Police Station.

West Midlands Police Complex Enquiries team is a newly established team. Applications are invited for a number of Police Staff Investigating Officers to be part of this exciting new role. These positions will initially be for a fixed term contract of 12 months.
The Complex Enquiries Team led by a Detective Sergeant supported by 8 PSIO's will be based at West Bromwich Police Station, West Midlands and follow a PIP4 investigative structure. Investigators will be supporting current and historic child abuse investigations along with other investigations across PPU.
The team will support the wider investigation team, and will be supporting victims and witnesses, along with securing evidence for investigations at various stages of the judicial process.
Successful applicants will be required to pass Recruitment Vetting and Counter Terrorism Clearance scrutiny prior to commencing their role, this will include a full background & financial disclosure as part of the vetting process.
Appointment to this role will be dependent upon successfully medical checks, which may include a drugs test and if required a hearing test.
Working hours. Mon to Friday 0800 x 1600. (Inc 42 min Break) Applicants should expect that some travel will be required to complete enquiries, this may involve travel outside of the West Midlands Police Area.
