Job summary

A leading financial technology company in London is seeking an experienced interim Finance Analyst to provide financial oversight and compliance across projects. The ideal candidate is a part or fully qualified finance professional with strong project finance experience, excellent Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. This role offers a dynamic working environment focused on portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing finances for medium-to-large projects or programmes.
• Hands-on SOX control execution and documentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Track project and portfolio spend, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analysis, and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Support forecasting, cost-to-complete, and revenue recognition processes.
• Manage SOX financial controls, reconciliations, and ensure audit readiness.
• Act as a finance business partner to project managers and PMO teams.

Thisroleisidealforapartorfullyqualifiedfinanceprofessionalwhoenjoysbringingstructure,clarity,andinsighttoprojectdeliveryinacomplex,fast-pacedenvironment.

Yourremitwillinclude:

• Trackingprojectandportfoliospend,investigatingvariances,andrecommendingcorrectiveactions.
• Preparingmonthlyfinancialreports,varianceanalysis,andcommentaryforseniorstakeholders.
• Supportingforecasting,cost-to-complete,andrevenuerecognitionprocesses.
• ManagingSOXfinancialcontrols,reconciliations,andensuringauditreadiness.
• Actingasafinancebusinesspartnertoprojectmanagers,programmeleads,andPMOteams.
• Reviewingandvalidatingsupplierinvoicesandproject-relatedtimesheets.

Youwillneed:

• Arelevantqualification(ACA,ACCA,CIMA)orbepartqualifiedwithstrongportfolio/projectfinanceexperience.
• Experienceinmanagingfinancesformedium-to-largeprojectsorprogrammes.
• Strongknowledgeofcostcontrol,forecasting,andportfolioaccountingprinciples.
• Hands-onSOXcontrolexecutionanddocumentationexperience.
• ExcellentExcelandfinancialmodellingskills.
• Theabilitytopresentfinancialinformationinaclear,actionablewaytobothfinanceandnon-financestakeholdersatalllevels
• Highlyorganised,withtheabilitytomanagemultipleprioritiesacrossvariousprojects
