Job summary

A leading engineering staffing provider is seeking a Planning Engineer for an offshore wind farm development project in London. The successful candidate will have over five years of experience in project controls, be proficient in Primavera P6, and have excellent communication skills. This hybrid role requires local London residents with a valid right-to-work in the UK.

Qualifications

Overview

Planning Engineer (Contract) – Offshore Wind Farm Development Project UK-Based | Hybrid with Occasional Site Visits

Are you a seasoned Planning Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure? Join a dynamic and professional team delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious offshore wind projects.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of a major UK offshore wind project. You’ll be embedded within the Project Services team, working closely with Engineering Work Package Managers, Project Directors, and cross-functional departments including Finance, Commercial, and Consenting.

Location - Blackfriars, London

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Support Work Package Managers with planning input and attend weekly coordination meetings.
  • Deliver monthly schedule updates and contribute to integrated project reporting.
  • Identify and resolve planning disconnects across packages.
  • Lead “what-if” scenario planning to support strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to milestone tracking, programme pressure analysis, and leadership reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+years’ experience in project planning and controls,in offshore wind projects.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of EPCI project phases and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working across multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
