Job summary

A UK educational institution is seeking a Planning Co-ordinator Apprentice to support the scheduling and coordination of engineers' workloads. This role is ideal for an organized and proactive individual eager to learn about administration in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include managing appointments for gas meter exchanges, liaising with customers and suppliers, and updating spreadsheets. The apprentice will also work toward a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship, gaining valuable experience and training.

Responsibilities

  • Receive workload from suppliers and update Allgas spreadsheets.
  • Cross‑reference spreadsheets to Management System weekly.
  • Contact customers via phone, email, and text to arrange appointments for a gas meter exchange.
  • Update spreadsheet with meter details daily.
  • Answer phone queries.
  • Liaise between engineers and clients.
  • Cross‑reference stock availability and workload.
  • Liaise with suppliers.
  • General admin.

Skills

Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Good attention to detail and problem‑solving ability
Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office, email, data entry)

Education

As a Planning Co-ordinator Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the scheduling and coordination of engineers’ workloads. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, proactive, and eager to learn about planning and administration within a dynamic business environment.

Key Responsibilities
