Role Overview

The Level IV Manufacturing Planner is a senior-level role responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient operations, on-time delivery, and cost-effective resource utilization. This position requires strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives to support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling :
  • Translate overall business strategy into actionable plans for manufacturing, inventory management, make / buy decisions, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with customer demand and inventory targets.
  • Proactively adjust schedules to address changes in demand, material availability, or capacity constraints.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations teams to integrate new products into production plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of production plans, work orders, and inventory levels.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans to resolve delays, shortages, or priority changes.
Resource Management :
  • Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Monitor and optimize capacity utilization to meet production goals.
Data Analysis & Reporting :
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports (e.g., On-Time Performance, Revenue, Earned Hours).
  • Optimize resource utilization, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets.
Process Improvement :
  • Lead initiatives to improve planning accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across manufacturing operations.
Compliance & Standards :
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP / MRP systems for planning and inventory control.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
  • Act as a key liaison between production, engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production plans with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education : Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience : 2+ years in production planning or scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in ERP / MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel / data analysis capabilities.
  • Strong PC skills required (MS Office).
  • Soft Skills : Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and influence personnel of various levels and disciplines
  • Self-starter, high level of personal accountability, and innovative individual.
