Job summary

A reputable consulting firm in Reading is seeking a Planner - SC. The ideal candidate will provide planning expertise, implement processes, and produce deliverables for complex programmes. Proficiency in P6 Primavera and large-scale programme delivery experience are essential. The role offers a daily rate of £49.95/hr inside IR35 with a contract duration of 18 months.

Job Title: Planner - SC

Location: Reading (on site)

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Daily Rate: £49.95/hr (Umbrella - circa)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for DV clearance & Sole UK national

Responsibilities

• Providing Planning expertise to internal customers within the projects supported.
• Implementing Planning processes, policies and procedures within the projects supported.
• Producing Planning and EV deliverables in accordance with agreed business rhythm within the projects.
• The delivery of long range operational integrated Programme Planning activities.
• Supporting the Business Management Manager with emergent projects as directed by Business Controller.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with and awareness of key project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proficient in P6 Primavera, with demonstrable experience in planning and scheduling complex programmes.
• Possess large-scale programme delivery experience.
• Excellent understanding of programme scale and complexity, with the ability to navigate interdependencies and strategic priorities.
• Experienced in operating within a matrix management environment, collaborating across multiple stakeholders and functional teams.
• Ideally, a background in or some understanding of the Defence Sector.
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for DV clearance
