Job summary

A construction consulting firm is urgently looking for a Plan Checker to work on a part-time and ad hoc basis. This role, which is fully remote, requires expertise in building control and a Class 2F designation. The chosen candidate will review plans, ensure compliance with regulations, and liaise with various stakeholders. The position demands excellent attention to detail and communication skills, with a workload of no more than 5 hours a week.

We are seeking a Plan Checker on a contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of fully remote working and is suitable for those with experience in building control and a Class 2F designation. This is a part time and ad hoc role working no more than 5 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and assessing building plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Providing detailed feedback and recommendations for necessary modifications
• Liaising with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to discuss plan requirements
• Ensuring all reviewed plans adhere to Building Control standards
• Documenting findings and maintaining comprehensive records of all reviewed plans
• Offering expert advice on building regulations and compliance issues
• Staying up-to-date with changes in building regulations and ensuring plans reflect current standards
