Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is seeking a HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join as a Disability Assessor. The role involves performing five client assessments per day via telephone, video, or in person, and producing factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions determine eligibility for benefits.

You will work in a well-supported environment with comprehensive training. On-site Sunderland work is available with hybrid/home working options, and a starting salary of £42,000 per year plus

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered as a physiotherapist.
• Minimum 1 year post-registration experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; competent IT skills.

Responsibilities

What does the Functional Assessor role involve? The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
