Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is seeking HCPC registered Physiotherapist professionals for the Functional Assessor role in Newcastle. You will perform 5 client assessments per day, using telephone, video or in-person formats, to understand how disability or health conditions affect work capability.

The role offers an excellent salary, Monday to Friday hours, and flexible working arrangements including hybrid or home working, with generous leave, pension, and CPD support.

Qualifications

• Physiotherapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.
• HCPC registered physiotherapist.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 5 client assessments per day.
• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments.
• Produce a factual report to support DWP eligibility decisions.
• Gather information and generate reports for benefit determinations.

• Excellent starting salary at £42,000pa
• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)
• Newcastle based when working on-site

What does the Functional Assessor role involve?

The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their working capability. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
