Overview

My client builds SEO and Marketing solutions for companies across the UK. This role is 1 day a week in Lewes and pays up to £50k depending on experience. My client is seeking a talented Software Engineer with a background in PHP to join the team. You will be using PHP, Laravel and React. This is an exciting role for a developer to join a small team growing team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP and TypeScript/JavaScript (React is preferred)
• Write clean, maintainable, and SOLID-compliant code
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, ensuring scalability and security
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests using PHPUnit or similar unit testing tool
• Work with Docker and containerisation to develop and deploy applications
• Experience writing code to deploy onto AWS cloud environments
• Design and optimise SQL queries and database schemas for performance
• Collaborate with senior developers to architect scalable systems
• Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket) for version control, branching, and code reviews
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Requirements

• Proficient in PHP with experience in Laravel
• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript (React preferred)
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and security
• Experience with unit and integration testing (e.g., PHPUnit)
