Phlebotomist (Part Time), Phlebotomy Department – Lister Hospital, Stevenage

Up to £14,400 per annum, DOE

Contract / Hours: Permanent, Part Time (20 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–13:00)

About the role

Phlebotomist required for Hertford County Hospital in an outpatient setting. Responsibilities include venepuncture for laboratory analysis, providing DBS check as required, and potential travel for clinics and domiciliary visits. A car driver will be essential for covering these duties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venepuncture in an outpatient setting for laboratory analysis.
  • Availability for Monday to Friday, 08:00–13:00 (20 h per week).
  • Travel to clinics and domiciliary visits; a vehicle and driving licence are required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and comply with infection control protocols.
  • Adhere to HSL policies and procedures, including DBS check completion.

  • Relevant experience preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Valid driving licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Knowledge of phlebotomy techniques and patient safety.
