Job summary

A regional NHS trust in Scunthorpe is seeking compassionate Phlebotomists/Medical Laboratory Assistants for their Blood Sciences team. Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust

We are looking for compassionate, flexible Phlebotomists / Medical Laboratory Assistants to join our Blood Sciences team.

Positions Available
  • 1 × 20‑hour week – 3 days (MLA/Phlebotomist)
  • 1 × 16‑hour week – 4 days (Phlebotomist/MLA)
Duties and responsibilities
  • Support the blood test booking line and pathology reception – meet & greet patients.
  • Take blood samples from patients in the Pathology Department and ward areas.
  • Work in the sample reception area.
  • Load samples onto analytical equipment.
  • Assist with cross‑site work in Goole and other locations as required.
Working hours

Hours: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Optional participation in the weekend staffing rota (rotational basis, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm).

Training and development

Full training will be provided, including theory and practical competency assessments.
