Job description
Position Overview

You will work as a pharmacy technician within the clinical pharmacy team, primarily ward‑based and patient‑facing. As part of the Pharmacy Clinical Team at Eastbourne Hospital, you will provide a safe and effective service to a wide range of patients across various specialities.

Responsibilities
  • Take up‑to‑date, accurate medication histories for all patients.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to resolve medication queries.
  • Order patients’ own medication, ensuring sufficient supplies are available.
  • Act as a Pharmacy representative, delivering core services, answering pharmacy‑related questions, or referring to appropriate colleagues.
  • Perform daily end‑checking of accuracy to support the dispensary workflow.
  • Support the operational team with various tasks to ensure timely delivery of pharmacy supplies.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
  • Holds a Medicines Management Certificate and is a qualified accuracy‑checking technician (preferred but not essential).
  • Reliable work history, mature interpersonal skills, self‑confidence and a positive, forward‑thinking attitude are required.
