Pharmacy Technician (Inpatient Wards & Dispensary)

If you are a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking for a rewarding and challenging role, come and join our CQC rated 'Outstanding' Trust. We currently have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team. You will deliver a high quality, safe and effective pharmacy service to our community health and mental health services across all our sites in Berkshire.

We are a small friendly team, based at Prospect Park Hospital in Reading where our dispensary is located. You will have the opportunity to work at our community hospitals across Berkshire including Slough, Newbury, Wokingham, Maidenhead and Reading, as well as on the mental health wards at Prospect Park hospital.

Our working hours are currently 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday with you also working a late shift in the dispensary on a rota basis, which means no nights or weekends. We offer free parking on site.

Main duties of the job

This is a joint role,with time spent both inthe dispensary andourwards:

Deliveringafast and effective pharmacy services to the wards and departments

Completing accuracy checking session(s)

Providingan admission,supplyand discharge service to nominated wards.

Checking Patients' Own Drugs (PODs).

Undertaking medicines reconciliation.

Supporting patients to ensure that they get the best possible outcomes from theirmedicines.

Providing a ward top-up service.

Working withthe clozapine clinic team to ensure medicines are ready for theTrust wide clinics.

Developingskills and knowledge as part of a commitment to CPDand Clinical Supervision

Providingsupport to Pre-registration Pharmacy Techniciansand support workerswhile they undertake theirlearning.
