Overview

What if your Pharmacy expertise was the reason a new drug reached patients faster? We are growing our Investigational Research Pharmacy team and hiring Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Technical Officers.

ABOUT FORTREA LEEDS: Fortrea is one of the largest early-stage clinical research organizations, and our Research Unit in Leeds is the crown jewel of our global operations. Dedicated to Phase I clinical trials, this 65,000 ft² facility is where life-saving medicines begin their journey.

  • Working hours: 37 per week, Monday to Friday with very occasional weekend shift (typically under 4 hours with flexi time or overtime pay.)
What you’ll do

Learn. And grow. No two days will be the same: you’ll be exposed to a wide variety of Therapeutic Indications and study types. “Will this new medicine be safe?” This is the question you will be focused on, and you’ll contribute directly to the answer by:

  • Manufacturing sterile and non-sterile drug products for Phase I human clinical trials.
  • Working under cGMP and GCP standards in a research setting, you’ll be hands-on in drug production, helping ensure investigational medicines are safely prepared and ready for dosing just steps away from the participants.

This job also entails:

  • Performing thorough maintenance and control of IMP/ API Pharmacy Inventory Management Records, ensuring the continued supply of any pharmacy stock items.
  • Supporting reception, use, supply, storage, packaging and disposition of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and IMP
Who you are
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council in the UK
  • Pharmacy Technical Officer (NVQ Level 2)

For both roles, you bring a proven track record of working in a fast-paced and demanding hospital or industrial pharmacy setting,

AND/OR

  • Have experience working in cGMP, GCP and/or GLP environments

A big PLUS: hands-on experience in aseptic production in clean rooms.
